Our Accommodations

Drifters Lodge is a small locally owned and operated lodge that prides itself in providing its guests with comfortable, clean and guest friendly lodging in a pristine Alaskan wilderness environment. Surrounded by the Chugach National Forest, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the Kenai River you will be experiencing the best in scenery and wildlife Alaska has to offer.  Wildlife sightings are normal in this area and the scenery breathtaking.  Although two to three times in a season, a bear will wander through the Drifters Lodge property, it is not an everyday occurrence.   Bears are not a problem here at the lodge so please do not be alarmed by this, as this is Alaska. 

Drifters Lodge has 12 different accommodations ranging from self contained cabins to rooms in the lodge.  The lodge has bed space for as many as 57 guests at one time plus staff and volunteers.  Normal occupancy is 25 – 40 guests.   We try to provide what we call “relaxed pampering”.  If you have specific needs please don’t hesitate to ask.  We do everything possible to make your stay at the lodge a wonderful experience. Although we allow one night stays the lodge is set up for multi-night stays.
All the cabins and the Eagles Nest have private bathrooms and cooking facilities.  Yes they have hot and cold running water and showers.  The rooms in the lodge have shared baths.  The main floor of the lodge has three different bedrooms with one locking bathroom, across the hall from the bedrooms that is shared by all three rooms.  The top floor of the lodge has two larger bedrooms which share one locking bathroom, located across the hall from the bedroom and their own private entrance and deck.

Cooking facilities are available in all of the cabins and the Eagles Nest.

On the main lodge deck, we have two large gas BBQ’s which the guests may utilize any time. There are also two picnic tables on the main deck and all are welcome to use these also.  We do have recipes for your catch of the day if you need them. Although the lodge kitchen is not available for guests to use we have some spices and tinfoil that are on hand for everyone.

The Lodge Kitchen is available for large group rental.

Drifters Lodge has a library of about 900+ videos and DVD’s for the TV in your accommodation, these are provided free of charge.  Cable TV is located in the Main Lodge breakfast and living area.  Books and games are also available in the library.  There are some books and videos with Alaska topics also.
An expanded continental breakfast is offered during high season from 7 – 10 am and our long time friend Carrol will be your hostess.

The Lodge is open year round.   Peace and tranquility winter getaways are wonderful.
